The eye gel is the smallest vessel Purely Bella makes. Shot alongside the rest of the line it disappears; shot alone it needs a reason to fill the frame.
The challenge
A 30ml tube has almost no surface to light. Without a prop or a second object, the image had to be carried entirely by placement and shadow.
Creative direction
One tube laid diagonally across a soft grey gradient, lit hard enough to throw a single black shadow that runs the length of the frame. The shadow does the composition work the product cannot.
Process

- 03Hard key light tuned until the shadow reads as a graphic shape
