The exfoliating pads are the first Purely Bella product where the packaging is not the whole story. The jar is the same restrained white vessel as the rest of the line, but the pads inside are the thing being sold, and the image has to say so without opening the product up like a diagram.
The challenge
A closed jar reads as any other jar in the line. An open one risks looking like a technical cutaway. The image needed to show the pads, the flip lid and the two labels at once, and still sit on the same shelf as the moisturizer and the night cream.
Creative direction
Two jars, floating rather than placed: the upper one open with its lid tilted back so the stacked pads and the dispensing tab read clearly, the lower one closed and turned to carry the front label. Warm cream replaces the line's usual grey so the white plastic stays soft instead of clinical, and the drop shadows are the only thing anchoring either jar.
Process
- 01Jar, flip lid and dispensing tab modeled from the packaging artwork
- 02Pad stack and quilted texture built as a separate material study
- 03Float staging: rotation and spacing studies to keep both labels legible
- 04Cream ground and soft shadow passes to hold the white without blowing it out
Where it lives
- PDP hero for the exfoliating pads
- Line overview imagery
- Social and email crops
Result
One frame that carries the vessel, the lid mechanism and the product inside, and still reads as part of the same white-on-white system as the rest of the line.
